My History of Modeling...

I have always had a passion for modeling which I give credit to my mom for. When I was younger, just a baby even, she entered me in pagents (most of which I won or at least placed in) and got me into dance lessons. Both of these things helped because they got me used to crowds and judges and strutting my stuff. It all helped teach me confidence. She also taught me to be myself and to always try the hardest I can to exceed. I also give credit to my little sister Dany. Even though she is younger than me by 6 years I have always looked up to her in the since that she is not afraid to be who she is, to try new things, do anything to make someone happy, make everything cool and fun, even if at first no one else thinks it is, and she never cares what others think about her. I love her so much and thank her for teaching me some of those great qualities. My best friend Shannon also played a big part in getting me started and keeping me going in modeling, because she was always encouraging me to get out there and show people who I am. She also taught me something I think every model should know. That is people will look at you the way you look at your self. So if you have the attitude that says your hott stuff, everyone else will look at you as if you are as well. She has always told me that i am beautiful and that she believes in me and if I believe in myself I can make it. I owe a lot of thanks to my husband Kenneth as well, because he loves to show me off. He's the kind of husband who realized that others think his wife is hot and loves to flaunt me but is still very protective and I love it. Because I know that no one thinks I'm as hot as he does. And he has also kept me motivated with his newfound love of photography. He runs around taking pics of everything! I am a very imaginative and creative person but am told that I take direction very well. In June (03) I graduated from Barbizon School of Modeling, they taught me a lot about the industy and things like how to walk, talk, look, and act. They also helped me gain a great deal of self confidence and showed me that hopes and dreams are important and that if you keep working toward them they might one day come true. I also participated in their fashion show. I had a shoot with a wonderful photographer in Oklahoma City. It went great and helped me build my portfolio. I worked with a photographer here on Island quite a few times and he gave me some great shots, I enjoyed it because he was pretty creative, you never could guess what he had in mind next. I am hoping to keep building my portfolio and to keep helping photographers build theirs so that I may get out to more people and my place in the modeling industry will rise.

Steve Gates - OKC Fashion Models:  Steve is truely a great guy. He is very family oriented and has an eye for capturing the best in people. He keeps the setting light and lets his models be themselves and helps them have fun with what their doing. I would definately refer him to anyone who is an aspiring model. His work is great.
